'''Honda GL 650'''
In 1983 a more powerful version of the Silver Wing was born. The lighter version, the [[Honda GL500|GL500]] Silver Wing, was also still obtainable. The GL650'83 Silver Wing was sold in 1983 in one of two color schemes: Candy Wineberry Red with Bramble Red Metallic or Nimbus Gray Metallic with Achilles Black Metallic. The stripes on the red bike were red; but on the gray bike they were black. The "HONDA" and "SILVERWING" emblems were gold. The seat and trunk system had a modular design like the 1981 [[Honda GL500]]. Although the performance of the GL650 Silver Wing was much better than that of the GL500 Silver Wing this model did not last very long.
