Honda NC50 Express

This is a 49cc Moped which was manufactured from 1977 until 1982, it featured an air cooled 2-stroke engine. The versions from 1977 until 1980 had a manual choke, point's ignition and a spring starter. Versions from 1980 onwards included a kick starter, CDI ignition and automatic choke as well as an improved compression ratio. All versions include an automatic one speed transmission with a centrifugal clutch, double suspension and forced lubrication (does not run on mix).

1977 Honda NC50'77 Express
- Available three colors: Parakeet Yellow, Pal Green, and Mars Orange.
- It had a solid black solo seat.
- The starting system used a wind-up spring.
- The ignition was controlled by breaker points.
- It also had a manual choke.
- Engine: 49cc 2-stroke single cylinder.
- The engine was lubricated by oil injection.
- Transmission: one speed.
- Serial number began: NC50-1139281.
1978
1978 Honda NC50'78 Express
- Available three colors: Parakeet Yellow, Pal Green, and Mars Orange.
- It had a two-tone black and white solo seat.
- The downtube featured a logo change with the name "EXPRESS"
- The starting system used a wind-up spring.
- The ignition was controlled by breaker points.
- It also had a manual choke.
- Engine: 49cc 2-stroke single cylinder
- The engine was lubricated by oil injection.
- Transmission: only one speed
- Serial number began NC50-2000013.
1979
1979 Honda NC50'79 Express
- Available three colors: Parakeet Yellow, Pal Green, and Shiny Orange (which replaced the Mars Orange)
- It had a two-tone black and white solo seat
- The downtube featured a logo change again with the name "EXPRESS"
- The starting system used a wind-up spring
- The ignition was controlled by breaker points
- It also had a manual choke
- Engine: 49cc 2-stroke single cylinder
- The engine was lubricated by oil injection
- Transmission: only one speed
- Serial number began: NC50-2100001.
1980
1980 Honda NC50'80 Express
- This year the Shiny Orange color was dropped
- Available two colors: Parakeet Yellow and Pal Green
- It had a two-tone black and white solo seat
- The downtube featured a logo change again with the name "EXPRESS"
- New this year were turn signals
- The starting system used a wind-up spring
- The ignition was controlled by breaker points
- It also had a manual choke
- Engine: 49cc 2-stroke single cylinder
- The engine was lubricated by oil injection
- Transmission: only one speed
- Serial number began: NC50-2200005.
1981
1981 Honda NC50'81 Express
- Available colors: Monza Red; and Angel Blue
- It still had a two-tone black and white solo seat
- The downtube featured another logo change with the name "EXPRESS"
- It still had turn signals
- The wind-up spring starting system was replaced with a direct kick starter
- The breaker points ignition was replaced by a CD ignition
- The manual choke was replaced by an automatic choke
- Engine: 49cc 2-stroke single cylinder
- The engine was lubricated by oil injection
- Transmission: only one speed
- Serial number began: JH2AB0807BS400008.
1982
1982 Honda NC50'82 (NC50I'82 in Iowa) Express
- Available colors: Sober Blue Metallic and Special Silver Metallic
- The seat was a two-tone black and white solo seat, but it was much larger
- The front rack above the headlight was standard equipment
- The downtube featured another logo change with the name "EXPRESS"
- It still had turn signals
- Starter: direct kick starter
- Ignition: CD
- Choke: automatic

- The engine was lubricated by oil injection
- Transmission: two speeds

1983 Honda Express
- Model ID: NC50'83 (NC50I'83 in Iowa)
- Available colors: Indigo Blue Metallic and Special Silver Metallic
- A red "HONDA" logo was added to the side covers
