1989 Honda NSR125R

Built by Honda Italy and only available in that country, the NSR 125 is unusual in using many Italian components such as carburetor, shocks, and brakes. Small capacity bikes are very popular in Europe, and the NSR was the best seller in 1990.

The Honda NSR 125 R was a Liquid cooled, single cylinder, 2 strokes Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Honda between 1989 and 2004. It could reach a top speed of 75 mph (120 km/h). Max torque was 11.06 ft/lbs (15.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 15.02 HP (11.2 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled Liquid cooled, single cylinder, 2 strokes. A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a membrane & power valve.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/80-17 front tire and a 130/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc with 2 piston calipers in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi hydraulic forks while the rear was equipped with a Marzocchi shock with pro-kink. The NSR 125 R was fitted with a 3.43 Gallon (13.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 291.01 pounds (132.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 52.99 inches (1346 mm) long.
