The Honda Rebel 500 ABS was a twin, four-stroke standard produced by Honda between 2017 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 109 mph (175 km/h). Max torque was 31.72 ft/lbs (43.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 46.94 HP (35.0 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 67.0mm bore x 66.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 471.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate wet.

Chassis

It came with a 130/90-16 front tire and a 150/80-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. abs in the front and a single disc. abs in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks. The Rebel 500 ABS was fitted with a 2.95 Gallon (11.17 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 414.03 pounds (187.8 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.7 inches (1491 mm) long.

2017 Honda REBEL 500

The Rebel’s 471cc 8-valve, liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine was taken from the CBR500R sport bike. For cruising duties, revised PGM-FI fuel injection mapping has shifted its character away from the high rpm-focused performance of the CBR to a torque-heavy bottom-end output, with smooth and linear delivery throughout the rev-range.
