The Honda VFR400/ NC30 was a Liquid cooled four stroke 90 degrees V-four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder Sport/Touring motorcycle produced by Honda in 1990. Max torque was 25.82 ft/lbs (35.0 Nm) @ 9700 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 59.0 HP (44.0 KW) @ 12750 RPM.

Engine

A 53.3mm bore x 53.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 120/60-17 front tire and a 150/60-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double Discs in the front and a Single Disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm Telescopic Fork while the rear was equipped with a Pro-Arm With Damping And Preload Adjust.

The VFR400R NC30, with a a V-four stroke engine and gear driven camshafts, replaced the previous NC24 version of the VFR400 launched in 1989.
