The Honda XL700V Transalp was a v2, four-stroke standard produced by Honda between 2008 and 2012. Max torque was 44.26 ft/lbs (60.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 57.93 HP (43.2 KW) @ 7750 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 81.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 680.2 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the mechanical. cable-actuated, wet, wet, multiplate with coil springs.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90-r19 front tire and a 130/80-r17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. dual-piston combined three-piston callipers, abs and sintered metal pads in the front and a single disc. combined single-piston calliper, abs and resin mould pads in the rear. The front suspension was a 41 mm leading-axle telescopic fork,177 mm axle travel while the rear was equipped with a pro-link with adjustable compression damping, 173 mm axle travel. The XL700V Transalp was fitted with a 4.62 Gallon (17.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 480.61 pounds (218.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.65 inches (1515 mm) long.
