The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the APTC(TM) slipper clutch, hydraulically actuated.

Stopping was achieved via Brembo four-piston radial fixed calliper, 320 mm in the front and a Brembo four-piston radial fixed calliper, 240 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a WP USD 48 mm while the rear was equipped with a WP shock absorber with Pro-Lever linkage. The wheelbase was 59.21 inches (1504 mm) long.

2017 Husqvarna 701 SUPERMOTOEdit
The Husqvarna 701 Supermoto will be getting an update for the 2017 model year, with both bikes receiving the updated 690cc single-cyliner engine that is currently found in the new-generation KTM 690 Duke. Husqvarna says that the new motor adds 1,000 rpm to the redline, and the new Keihin fuel injection system has a 50 mm throttle body that has no mechanical linkage to the throttle grip, for true ride-by-wire technology.
