The Kawasaki FX400R was a in-line four, four-stroke standard produced by Kawasaki in 1989. Max torque was 2.66 ft/lbs (3.6 Nm) @ 10500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 57.8 HP (43.1 KW) @ 1200 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 56.0mm bore x 40.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 400.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis
