2015 Kawasaki H2R[edit | edit source]
The 2015 MY Kawasaki Ninja H2R came into existence only after sourcing the technological expertise to several divisions of Kawasaki Heavy Industries(KHI).
Parts of the bodywork, like the carbon-fiber upper and lower winglets were designed with assistance from the Kawasaki Aerospace Company. Whereas the supercharger was designed with help from other companies within KHI, like the Gas Turbine & Machinery Company or the Corporate Technology Company.
The engine is all new, designed specially for the H2. It displaces 998cc, but with the help of the supercharger, it delivers a whopping almost 300 horsepower.
Another feature worth mentioning is the special type of paint the Japanese introduced in this model. It is called mirror coated black paint, and this is the first mass-produced model ever to have it. The paint is a multi-layer composite one and it includes a layer of pure silver formed by a chemical reaction.
