The Kawasaki KL 250 Super Sherpa was a Air cooled, four stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Enduro motorcycle produced by Kawasaki in 1999. Max torque was 19.18 ft/lbs (26.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 30.04 HP (22.4 KW) @ 8500 RPM.
Engine
A 70.9mm bore x 70.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis
It came with a 7.75-21 front tire and a 4.10-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 250mm disc 2 piston caliper in the front and a Single 200mm disc 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a  Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm. The wheelbase was 54.09 inches (1374 mm) long.

This is an excellent dual purpose motorcycle, aimed more towards road use but the low seat height and centre of gravity make it excellent for steep off road work.
Very soft suspension from the factory, but rear shock is fully adjustable for preload and rebound (although rebound adjustments unfortunatley require removal of the shock). I'd suggest new fork springs and heavier fork oil would improve dive in the front under brakes.

Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission.
Chassis
It came with a 90/21-.21 front tire and a 130/18-.17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a  36mm telescopic fork / 9.1 in. while the rear was equipped with a uni-trak single shock system adjustable preload and 20-way rebound damping adjustability / 7.3 in.. The Super Sherpa was fitted with a 2.4 Gallon (9.08 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 54.09 inches (1374 mm) long.
