The 2011 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS is a touring motorcycle that can take you across continents easily, but with a twist. It's based on Kawasaki's successful Ninja ZX-14 big-bore superbike, so, even though it comes with the amenities of a touring motorcycle, it also has incredible acceleration, handling and behaves great at high speeds.
Sharing its 1,352cc Four-cylinder, DOHC engine with variable valve timing (VVT) with the ZX-14, it can take you from 0 to 60 just like any sport bike would. And even though it has such a powerful engine, it also has a lot of safety-focused technologies to make riding it as rewarding as possible, while keeping on the safe side of things.
It features the second generation Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology(K-ACT) ABS to improve braking even at high speeds, and it has a new fuel economy assistance mode, which, when activated, can give you as much as a 25% mile per gallon boost.

The 2014 MY Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS carries on the specs of the previous years. Based on the Ninja ZX-14 platform, it has the same powerful 4-stroke 1352cc engine, paired to a 6-speed transmission, but fine-tuned to be a little more tamed than its Ninja counterpart.
The Concours is a great hybrid between a sports bike and a tourer, it comes standard with a lot of useful technologies, from both categories, such as K-ACT ABS, traction control, shaft drive, heated grips, contactless key and twin hard saddlebags. Such amenities mean it can be ridden almost all year-long, no matter what the elements have in store for the rider.
All in one, the Concours is a decent option if one is looking for a bike able to take him long distances comfortably and fast at the same time.

The 2015 MY Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS comes with some new features. It sports the same 1352cc engine derived from the Ninja ZX-14, capable of producing 156 horsepower and a mesmerising 140 Nm of torque.
The Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology (K-ACT) ABS has been fitted with a new master cylinder and ABS modulator, to reduce link effect in the front brake when the rear brake is applied.
The first gear ratio has been improved and the new steering stem seal makes for easier handling at low speeds. Also, the rear suspension is stiffer and allows for more heavy loads to be carried.
The model is available for purchase only in the USA.
