The Kawasaki ZX1000A was the first 1000cc Ninja motorcycle.  It was a continuation of the [[Kawasaki ZX900A|Kawasaki ZX900A (Ninja 900)]].  Its engine was also used in the [[Kawasaki ZG1000A|Kawasaki ZG 1000A Concours]].
