The Kawasaki ZX1400 is Kawasaki's answer to the Suzuki Hayabusa's phenomenal success despite of Kawasaki's more suave and maneuverable challenger in the ZX1200.  There should be no doubt that the raw performance of a ZX1400 is greater than a Hayabusa, but is it enough to challenge the huge support for the Busa?  Only time will tell.  You could say Kawasaki has built their whole reputation on building high performance bikes.  The Kawasaki H1 and Kawasaki H2 gave Kawasaki their initial performance image, then they launched the Z1 which effectively defeated the Honda CB750K as reining speed king.  Kawasaki's ZX-11 held the crown of world's fastest superbike for close to a decade.  Being ram air inducted, digitally fuel injected and gear-driven balanced, this develops 154 Nm at 7,500 rpm and 203 hp at 9,500 rpm, so being competitive was clearly a priority

The 2012 MY Ninja ZX-14R, with its new and more powerful 1,441cc Four-cylinder Liquid-Cooled DOHC Engine, which has longer-stroke design, revised cylinder heads, lighter pistons, higher compression and better designed camshafts, all just to give the rider as much torque and power as possible.
In addition, this latest model has an all-new slipper clutch assembly which greatly improves the riders ability ro control rear-wheel torque effects when he or she brakes or downshifts. Also, it has a brand new exhaust system with tapered and remodelled head pipes and a redesigned muffler assembly to help reduce pollution, whether it's classic or phonic.
A newly developed monocoque aluminum frame, narrow, strong, rigid and ultralight make the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R the super-sport of your dreams.

The 2013 MY Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R can be resumed to one word. Power! On the tech/engine side, the four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine displaces 1441cc and produces a whopping 200 horse power (210 with RAM air), which, once again, puts it on the number one spot when it comes to muscle. Add the long-stroke design, ported cylinder heads, lightweight forged pistons and aggressive camshaft profiles that were engineered to produce as much as 162.5 Nm of torque.
The ZX-14R does not disappoint in the aesthetics department either. With its aggressive supersport bodywork and an exquisite attention to details that the Japanese designers have always put in the Ninja models, it can easily be called one of the best-looking mass-produced sportbikes on the market.
The ZX-14R comes with an optional ABS.

The 2013 MY Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R ABS Special Edition raises the bar even higher for motorcycle producers around the world. Available in 2 new custom-like paint jobs, metallic spark black or golden blazed green, adding a more elegant look to the massively powerful ZX-14R. Also, the ABS was designed by Kawasaki to be compact, so it does not adda significant bulk to the motorcycle while greatly enhancing performance.
Other features of the ZX-14R include a back-torque limiting "slipper" clutch, which offers an increased control over the rear-wheel "hopping" while downshifting or coasting. The lightweight monocoque frame is made out of aluminum and arches over the whole motorcycle but is also narrow, strong and rigid.
One of the most impressive weight saving methods used by Kawasaki at this model is that many of the cast aluminum sections composing the frame are made using a die-casting process.

The new 2014 MY Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R ABS comes packed with all the technology the Japanese engineers have developed in many years of racing. It comes with the most powerful engine Kawasaki have ever engineered for a production bike, a 4-stroke in-line four cylinder that packs 1441cc.
The traction control has three modes the rider can select with a press of a button. The first two focus mainly on better acceleration and the third one focuses on retaining tire grip in wet/slippery conditions.
Another feature to take into consideration for this model is the back-torque limiting "slipper" clutch. It is engineered to improve rear-wheel torque effects when coasting or down-shifting. As a result, wheel hop, chatter and also driver stress are kept as low as possible.
The model is available for purchase without ABS only in the USA.
