The Kawasaki ZXR400 was a in-line four, four-stroke Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 1991 and 2003. It could reach a top speed of 126 mph (202 km/h). Max torque was 26.77 ft/lbs (36.3 Nm) @ 12000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 63.56 HP (47.4 KW) @ 13000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 57.0mm bore x 39.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 398.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/60-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm Upside down showa forks while the rear was equipped with a Uni-Trek adjustable preload with rebound damping. The ZXR400 was fitted with a 4.23 Gallon (16.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 357.15 pounds (162.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 54.53 inches (1385 mm) long.

1991 - 1999 Kawasaki ZXR 400[edit | edit source]

The Kawasaki ZXR 400 is one the smallest ZXR bikes ever created by Kawasaki. Light and very maneuverable, the ZXR 400 is a great motorcycle for beginners. It has a liquid cooled, four stroke, 398cc engine which can produce 65 horsepower at 13000rpm.
