The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 75.0mm bore x 56.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 495.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 9.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.
