The Maico 500 Cross was a Single cylinder, water-cooled, 2-stroke Enduro motorcycle produced by Maico in 2003.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 86.4mm bore x 86.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Disc 260 mm in the front and a Disc 220 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Upside down fork while the rear was equipped with a Maico twin link WP. The wheelbase was 58.31 inches (1481 mm) long.

2003 Maico 500 Cross[edit | edit source]

This model is fitted with a 498 cubic centimeter liquid-cooled two-cylinder two-stroke engine, which delivers a maximum output of 45 hp. The machine has a seat height of 81 cm. Machines are relatively inexpensive to purchase in used condition.
