A 86.4mm bore x 86.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.0 cubic centimeters.

DriveEdit

The bike has a 5 Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multidisc.

ChassisEdit

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Disc Ø 320 mm in the front and a Disc Ø 220 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Upside down fork while the rear was equipped with a Maico twin link WP. The wheelbase was 58.31 inches (1481 mm) long.

2002 Maico 500 SuperMotoEdit

The 500 SuperMoto bike had the same technical features as the 500 Cross. The same single cylinder, water cooled, two stroke, 499cc engine and the same 67 HP.
