1972 Maico 501

The Maico 501 is a 500cc, single cylinder, two stroke, motocross motorcycle manufactured by Maico.

Maikos were some of the most successful motocross machines in Europe and the United States in the early 1970s. The most distinctive feature about the 501 is its massive, unusually boxy cylinder designed for maximum cooling.
