The Maico GS250 was a single cylinder, two-stroke Enduro motorcycle produced by Maico between 1964 and 1992. It could reach a top speed of 62 mph (100 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 16.63 HP (12.4 KW) @ 5500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 67.0mm bore x 70.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 247.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a membrane & variable discharge openings.

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet cable operated.

Chassis

It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 130/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm fork. The GS250 was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 58.31 inches (1481 mm) long.

The Maico GS 250 was the lightest motorcycle in its class with nearly 100 kg of empty weight, at least against its competitors Hercules and KTM. The cream piece was the chassis, which characterized by good track and jump behavior.
