The Lodola was the first model to break away from the traditional [[Moto Guzzi]] horizontal "flat single" engine design, and the last bike designed entirely by founder Carlo Guzzi.  These machines were superbly engineered with many innovative features.  The traditional outside flywheel is still a design feature but now hidden under a cover.
