The Piaggio B500 was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by Piaggio in 2005. It could reach a top speed of 99 mph (160 km/h). Max torque was 31.72 ft/lbs (43.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 38.22 HP (28.5 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 92.0mm bore x 69.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 460.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).
