==Engine==
The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valve.

Power was moderated via the Automatic, centrifugal dry clutch.  

==Chassis==
It came with a 2 x 110/70 -13 front [[tire]] and a 140/60-14 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 240mm discs, One disc [[brake]] per wheel, c 2 piston caliper in the front and a Single 240mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a  Tilting parallelogram with 4 arms supporting 2 steering tubes. while the rear was equipped with a Two double acting hydraulic shock absorbers. The MP3300 Sport / Business ABS ASR was fitted with a 10.8 Litres / 2.8 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 211 kg / 465 lbs. The wheelbase was 1550 mm / 61.0 in. long.

The MP3 300 is a sporty three-wheeler designed with fun and agility in mind.
Thanks to its innovative construction the Piaggio MP3 300 has great stability
and can move through congested traffic situations with ease.
It is propelled by a pretty lively 278 cc, electronically injected, single
cylinder, four-stroke unit that puts out a maximum power of 22.80 HP (16.6 kW) @
7750 RPM and 24.00 Nm (2.4 kgf-m or 17.7 ft.lbs) of torque at 5750 RPM. The
engine is paired with a modern CVT automatic transmission.
The three-wheelers backbone is represented by a closed double cradle in high
strength tubular steel frame.
The frame is combined with a set of innovative suspensions that include a
front tilting parallelogram with 4 arms supporting 2 steering tubes and 2 double
acting hydraulic shock absorbers at the back.

MP3 is a compact three-wheeler with slender lines making it agile and easy to
handle, ideal for moving through traffic easily and in complete safety.
Available with a 300 cc electronic injection engine, MP3 stands out for its

Features
The sophisticated Piaggio Multimedia Platform, available from among the many
dedicated accessories for the Piaggio Mp3, illustrated in the catalogue,
connects your smartphone to the on-board electronic system, turning it into a
multi-purpose instrument, a computer able to display simultaneously data such as
speed, revs, engine power and torque in real time, as well as acceleration in a
straight line, tilt in cornering, average and current fuel consumption, average
speed and battery voltage among a host of other functions. A smartphone
connected with the Piaggio Multimedia Platform can also be used to display maps
and routes or to find the location, for example, of petrol stations or support
services. The tyre condition monitoring feature takes synergistic advantage of
the vehicle and smartphone sensors to monitor tyre wear and inflation,
immediately alerting the rider of any potentially critical situations. The
general analysis feature monitors vehicle condition.
Two versions: different characters, same safety
The Piaggio Mp3 is available in Business and Sport versions, with dedicated
equipment and color schemes.
Piaggio Mp3 Business  sober and elegant
The Business version, elegant and city-friendly, characterized by a
Businessplate on the rear part of the tail, distinguishes itself through some
prestige details, such as the chrome-plated exhaust pipe on the Mp3 500, the new
brown saddle with dual lining, and the finish in glossy grey of the wheel rims
and the passenger grab handles. The elegance of Piaggio Mp3 Business is
highlighted by the two chrome-plated versions available: Bianco Iceberg, Nero
Universo, a new metallic Red and a new metallic Blue.
Piaggio Mp3 Sport  sporting and dynamic
The Sport version of Piaggio Mp3 is distinguished by the Sportplate on the
rear of the tail and the numerous items with matt grey finish, such as the
protection of the end of the exhaust pipe for the Mp3 300, the diamond edge
wheel rims the passenger handles and moulding of the central tunnel. The black
saddle of the Sport version has a lining in two different materials.
There are three dedicated color schemes for the Sport version: Nero Opaco
Carbonio and the three new colours, Grigio Opaco, Bianco Pastello and Verde
Opaco.


A complete range of accessories
The range of accessories for the Mp3 is based on a precise design philosophy:
to provide the maximum on-board comfort and maximum functionality in daily use,
to make the life of the commuter easier with the Piaggio three-wheel scooter.
The large rear trunk, which can be unhooked rapidly, with 50 litre capacity, can
house two full-face helmets. The upper shield is painted the same color as the
vehicle and has a comfortable backrest to make the passengers ride more
enjoyable. The top box is also available in the 37-litre version.
For daily use and in all environmental conditions, the windshield accessory, in
high quality anti-chip material, guarantees optimum protection from the air and
weather. A great deal of care is put into aesthetics, with rods with the same
finish as other vehicle details.
In addition the leg-covering fabric, an increasingly important accessory for
commuters whatever the season and irrespective of the weather conditions, was
designed to provide maximum warmth and protection against the rain on the Mp3.
The fabric is designed for the vehicle and for perfect safety, and is stable
even at high speeds. To guarantee maximum comfort in any weather conditions, a
new kit is also available with heated accessories that enhance all weather
functionality: a heating element to be placed in the leg cover and heated hand
grips, managed by a dedicated control unit that provides four temperature
levels.
The rider is also protected by a further function of the Piaggio Mp3: thermal
and waterproof protection for the hands, the tunnel bag, placed simply behind
the leg shield back plate, electronic and mechanical saddle-handlebar
anti-theft systems and the comfort saddle, which has gel inserts under the
lining to provide maximum comfort to the rider and passenger.

The on-board technology is enhanced by the accessories. Piaggio MP3 can be
fitted with the Piaggio Multimedia Platform, to enable dialogue between your
smartphone and the vehicle. Piaggio Multimedia Platform is able to manage a huge
amount of information relating to the vehicle, useful for the journey.
New. Tom Tom Vio Piaggio Special Edition: the first GPS navigation device
designed by Tom Tom for scooters is now available in an exclusive and special
edition specifically developed for Piaggio Group and customized in terms of
packaging, cover and splash screen.
Another technological exclusive is the new Piaggio Sound System (PSS), developed
by the Piaggio Innovation Research Center, that allows you to play back audio
from a source connected via Bluetooth, without loudspeakers, directly by the
vehicle itself.
The Mp3 range is accompanied by a range of dedicated, hi-tech design helmets,
conceived and designed to provide safety, comfort and maximum protection.
Helmets in the PJ line include interesting technical and stylistic features,
with innovative head design and exclusive side fastening and a large, protective
visor.
The breathable interior fittings can be removed and washed. The PJ range of
helmets has two configurations: PJ with dual visor (normal and sunscreen) and
PJ1 with recessed sunscreen visor.
