The Piaggio Zip 50 was a single cylinder, four-stroke scooter motorcycle produced between 2005 and 2013. It could reach a top speed of 30 mph (48 km/h). Max torque was 3.17 ft/lbs (4.3 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 4.43 HP (3.3 KW) @ 6700 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 40.0mm bore x 39.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 1.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the dry automatic centrifugal type.

Chassis

It came with a 100/80-10 front tire and a 120/70-10 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a hydraulic shock absorber. The Zip 50 was fitted with a 1.93 Gallon (7.30 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 189.6 pounds (86.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 47.24 inches (1200 mm) long.
