The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 40.0mm bore x 39.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 1.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the dry automatic centrifugal type.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/80-10 front tire and a 120/70-10 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a hydraulic shock absorber. The Zip 50 was fitted with a 1.93 Gallon (7.30 Liters) fuel tank.
