The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

It came with a 100/80-17 front tire and a 130/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via disc in the front and a disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The wheelbase was 52.4 inches (1331 mm) long.

The RS2 125 was launched in 2006 at the International Salon in Milan and was designed as a small-bore, aggressive-looking and more than affordable machine. It sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 125cc, single cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and reaches a peak torque of 20 Nm at 6250 rpm. Standard features include a Showa upside-down fork, a rear monoshock, and it also boasts a dry weight of only 107 kg.
