The Sanglas 400 Y was a twin, four-stroke standard produced by Sanglas between 1979 and 1982. It could reach a top speed of 87 mph (140 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 26.42 HP (19.7 KW) @ 7,100 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 69.0mm bore x 52.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 392.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.25-18 front tire and a 3.50-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The 400 Y was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank.
