The engine was a Air cooled cooled Single cylinder, 4-stroke, 2 valves. The engine featured a 9.2:1 compression ratio.

Power was moderated via the Multi-plate in oil bath.
ChassisEdit
It came with a 3.25-18 front tire and a 3.50-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x Discs in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, dual shocks. The Sanglas 500 S2 was fitted with a 18 L / 4.8 US gal / 4.0 Imp gal fuel tank.
