Super sport bikes are designed for optimal performance on a race track, and are homologated for street use. They are generally built around a high revving powerplant that is usually sized around 250cc to 1200cc. Most super sport bikes will carry a wet weight between 350lb to 450lb.
Examples include the Honda CBR600RR, Honda CBR1000RR, Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Kawasaki Ninja 500R, Kawasaki Ninja 650R, Kawasaki ZX-6R, Kawasaki ZX-10R[1], Suzuki GS500F, Suzuki SV650SF, Suzuki GSX-R600, Suzuki GSX-R750, Suzuki GSX-R1000, Triumph Daytona 675, Yamaha YZF-R6, and Yamaha YZF-R1[2].
