The Suzuki DL650 V-Strom is a dual-purpose motorcycle that is more street oriented than dirt in its factory configuration. It is powered by a fuel-injected 650cc V-twin engine that is sourced from the popular SV650 machine.

It is classified as an adventure touring machine. It has some characteristics of an off-road machine, such as longer forks and is fitted as standard with combination tyres. However, it is not intended for serious off-road use - but is better suited than a pure road machine for poorly surfaced roads.

It has a larger than average fuel tank giving the machine a range of up to 200 miles between refills. It can be ordered with three-box touring luggage solution, and is gaining popularity among long-distance riders.

Despite it's modest displacement, the V-Twin engine has good torque, and can give exhilerating acceleration combined with light and easy handling.
