Suzuki DR350: review, history, specs


The Suzuki DR350SE was a single cylinder, four-stroke Enduro motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1990 and 2000. It could reach a top speed of 87 mph (140 km/h). Max torque was 20.65 ft/lbs (28.0 Nm) @ 6200 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 28.43 HP (21.2 KW) @ 7600 RPM.

The big brother of the Suzuki DR250, the 350 has a very similar design with a larger piston for more power. It was met with great fanfare, as at the time most manufacturers were taking their thumper lines larger, and thus making four-stroke trail bikes harder to use.

EngineEdit

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 70.0mm bore x 71.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 348.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

DriveEdit

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plates.

ChassisEdit

It came with a 80/100-21 51p front tire and a 110/90-18 61p rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic Fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The DR350SE was fitted with a 2.51 Gallon (9.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 286.6 pounds (130.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.09 inches (1450 mm) long.

The DR 350S was presented in 1990, as an small and affordable trail bike with a single cylinder four-stroke engine. As for some other DR models, the DR 350S available in different versions. At first, there was the DR 350S, a street-legal version of the the pure trail version, DR 350S, with no license plate holder or mirrors.
