The Suzuki GR650 was a twin, four-stroke Cruiser motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1983 and 1989. It could reach a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h). Max torque was 44.99 ft/lbs (61.0 Nm) @ 3500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 48.95 HP (36.5 KW) @ 7200 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 77.0mm bore x 70.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 652.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.

Chassis

It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 130/90-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The front suspension was a 35mm Air Assisted Forks while the rear was equipped with a Single Shock Adjustable Spring Preload. The GR650 was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.

The Suzuki GR 650 was built from 1983 to 1989 and looked both forward and back in terms of motorcycling technology. Its engine layout conformed to that of the traditional British twin - two cylinders, arranged side by side, firing at 180 degrees, air-cooled - but was updated with chain-driven double overhead cams, wet sump and an inventive dual flywheel system.
