The Suzuki GS1100G was a in-line four, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1980 and 1988. It could reach a top speed of 129 mph (207 km/h). Max torque was 63.43 ft/lbs (86.0 Nm) @ 6400 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 91.99 HP (68.6 KW) @ 8000 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a air cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 72.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1074.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.

Chassis
It came with a 3.50-19 front tire and a 4.50-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a  telescopic gas/coil spring oil damped while the rear was equipped with a swing arm, gas/coil spring oil-damper 4 way adjustable. The GS1100G was fitted with a 5.81 Gallon (22.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 60.98 inches (1549 mm) long.

The Suzuki GS1100E was motorcycle made by Suzuki from 1980 to 1983, that replaced the GS1000E.

Description[edit | edit source]

The GS1000E had proved to be a very capable machine, with a strong engine and terrific handling, but in terms of top speed, and particularly quarter mile performance, it was beaten by the Honda CBX and Yamaha's XS11. Suzuki lost sales as a result... hence the reworking of the GS1000E into the GS1100E. The new engine benefited from a four valve per cylinder head, and had much more power than its predecessor. As a result, the 1100 was the new Speed King. Power was spread across the rev range, and it could pull from as little as 2000rpm. The GS1100E retained the ergonomic features of the 1000, and was a comfortable mile eater, as well as an eye opening performer. Power in 1980 was 86.67@8000rpm, with torque of 59.73@6500rpm. wet weight was 563.5lbs.

In 1982 the GS1100E was liberated from its role of all-around motorcycle. Admittedly it was an awesome machine, and king of the dragstrip, but it was happy in many roles. With the introduction of the GS1100G, the 'E' model could really let loose and go for gold. The engine was improved upon and the styling changed to be reminiscent of the early-80's Katana's, combining speed with function and styling. In 1982 it produced108hp@8500rpm, with torque of 67.6@6500. It weighed 549 lbs wet.
