The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, TSCC. The engine featured a 12.9:1 compression ratio.

Power was moderated via the Hydraulically-actuated multiplate wet clutch..
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 M/C (58W), tubeless front tire and a 190/50 ZR17 M/C (73W), tubeless rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 310 mm Discs radial mount Brembo monobloc 4 piston caliper in the front and a Single 220 mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Inverted telescopic, coil spring, oil damped while the rear was equipped with a Link type, coil spring, oil damped. The GSX-R 1000 Yoshimura Limited Edition was fitted with a 17.5 Liters / 4.6 US gal / 3.8 Imp gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1405mm / 55.3in long.

Suzuki GSX-R 1000 Yoshimura Limited Edition
Yoshimura and Suzuki hold a special relationship, with the aftermarket tuning firm working closely with the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers engineers and racing team to develop racing solutions for Suzuki motorcycles. Occasionally that relationship gets extended further, and brings us limited edition production runs of Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-Rs. Yoshimura R&D of America is offering a number of 2011 and 2012 Suzuki GSX-R600s, GSX-R750s and GSX-R1000s equipped with a host of upgrades. Each individually numbered GSX-R comes equipped with EPA- and CARB-compliant Yoshimura R-77 carbon fiber slip-ons and a number of aluminum CNC machined components. The Yoshimura Limited Edition GSX-R models also come with fender eliminator kits for track use or display purposes only as they are not DOT approved. The limited edition models also feature special paint schemes in either red or blue. The blue scheme will be applied to bikes with blue frames while models with black frames will get the red treatment.
