Suzuki T20 Super Six (X6 Hustler): history, specs, pictures

The Suzuki T20 was a 247cc two stroke street motorcycle manufactured by Suzuki in 1966 through 1967. It had the classic look of a street motorcycle with down-swept dual exhaust, street-style fenders and low ground clearance.

The Suzuki T20 was a twin, two-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1965 and 1970. It could reach a top speed of 93 mph (150 km/h). Max torque was 20.65 ft/lbs (28.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 28.43 HP (21.2 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

EngineEdit

The engine was a air cooled twin, two-stroke. A 54.0mm bore x 54.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 247.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a port control.

DriveEdit

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.

ChassisEdit

It came with a 2.75-18 front tire and a 3.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The front suspension was a Hydraulically damped telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Hydraulically damped swinging arm. The T20 was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 50.98 inches (1295 mm) long.

When Suzuki introduced the T20 in 1965 it caused an immediate stir, especially among lovers of light-weight high-performance engines. The small 247cc air-cooled two-stroke engine was capable of almost 90mph and the motorcycle was suprisingly sophisticated.
