The '''[[Suzuki]] V-Strom 650''' was a v2, [[four-stroke]] Sport touring [[motorcycle]] produced by [[Suzuki]] between 2004 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). Max [[torque]] was 50.89 ft/lbs (69.0 Nm) @ 6400 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 67.59 HP (50.4 KW) @ 8000 RPM.  

==Engine==
The engine was a [[liquid cooled]] v2, four-stroke. A 81.0mm [[bore]] x 62.6mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 645.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin [[cam]] (dohc).  

==Drive==
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multiplate.  

==Chassis==
It came with a 110/80-19 front [[tire]] and a 150/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. tokico 2-piston calipers in the front and a single disc. nissin, 1-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a  telescopic, coil spring, oil damped while the rear was equipped with a link type, single shock, coil spring, oil damped. The V-Strom 650 was fitted with a 5.3 Gallon (20.06 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 469.58 pounds (213.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 61.42 inches (1560 mm) long.

The new non-ABS VStrom 650X has arrived on the scene to complement the range, still with the versatility to switch from urban sprawl to country lanes, but with the punchy and flexible v-twin engine. Riders in the UK and US get the chance to receive a fully-loaded version of the 2013 MY V-Strom 650 ABS  which receives the Adventure suffix and some worthy extras. Basically, they will be getting a bike which is ready to roll right from the crate, equipped with sleek aluminum side cases which can accommodate a full-face helmet, strong crash bars and an adjustable windscreen which allows the rider to tailor the aerodynamics of the bike according to the riding scenario and speed.


Nothing is changed on the tech side from the base model. The Adventure trim Suzuki offers for the 2014 MY V-Strom 650 ABS introduces several touring add-ons which add to the functionality of the bike, making it even more suitable for longer road trips. The middleweight V-Strom receives aluminum panniers and a similar topcase, a Vario adjustable touring windscreen, crash bars, hand guards and a belly protector.

Don't be worried about the extra bulk, the V-Strom is more than capable to handle it, and has everything it needs to remain nimble and offer a rewarding riding experience.


==2015 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS Adventure==

The 2015 MY V-Strom 650 ABS Adventure is yet another trim Suzuki offers for the base model. It arrives with aluminum sidecases, crashbars and a Vario adjustable windscreen. The wheels are still cast alloy ones so off-roading must be kept within certain limits, especially on rocky terrain. Even though "adventure" trims usually refer to bikes which are ready to roll and reach remote locations, this one still needs some aftermarket parts.

Hand guards and an engine bash plate are mandatory add-ons for those in search of true adventure. As for the rest, the V-Strom 650 ABS Adventure remains the same good-old trustworthy partner which can do pretty much anything from trails and back roads to city slicing and fast highway hauls.

The V-Strom 650 ABS is the base version of Suzuki's middleweight adventure-focused all-rounder. For 2015, the bike is equipped with ABS as standard, in compliance with the European road safety regulations. The v-twin power plant was retained with only minor tweaks, as the last revamp proves to be a very successful recipe.


Like all the previous V-Stroms, the 2015 MY is a workhorse that can tackle almost anything, except hard off-road, a thing for which its cast wheels are not tough enough. Anyway, other than this, there aren't too many things the 2015 MY V-Strom 650 ABS can't do. Its generous tank and good fuel efficiency provides an excellent range for long hauls, while the comfy riding position makes long rides less grueling.
