The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, TSCC. The engine featured a 12.5:1 compression ratio.

Power was moderated via the Hydraulically-actuated multiplate wet clutch..
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190/50 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 310 mm discs 4 piston caliper in the front and a Single 220 mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Inverted telescopic, coil spring, oil damped, adjustable spring preload while the rear was equipped with a Link type, coil spring, gas/oil damped, adjustable spring preload. The lGSX-R 1000 Isle of Man Centenary Special was fitted with a 17.5 Liters / 4.6 US gal / 3.8 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 172 kg / 379 lbs.. The wheelbase was 1415 mm / 55.7 in. long.

Suzuki GSX-R1000 Isle of Man Centenary Special
Suzuki GB has announced
the final specification for its Isle of Man Centenary Special Edition GSX-R
range. The limited edition models have been produced under an exclusive
license from the Isle of Man government to celebrate 100 years of racing at
the famous TT circuit. The GSX-R1000, 750 and 600 variations are offered in
unique color options and each bike will be individually numbered and
certificated. The identifying number is located with the Isle of Man TT logo
on the top yoke plate.
The bikes also display a specially-designed graphics kit
featuring the TT logo intertwined with the bikes original graphics on both
side of the fairing and on the rear seat cowling. The
GSX-R1000s special color scheme is a combination of Marble Erakis Red and
Metallic Mistic Silver and it will also feature the stunning and
highly-anticipated Yoshimura GP Evo twin exhausts (RRP £1400), as well as a
tinted screen. Only 150 units will be made available at a special RRP of
£9,949. Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue and Solid Black is the color
combination for the Special Edition GSX-R750, which also features a black,
double-bubble screen. At £8,199 RRP, just 200 units of the 750 option will
be produced. Completing the Centenary TT GSX-R line-up is the
GSX-R600, which comes in Pearl Vigor Blue and Solid Black. Like the 750, it
will also carry the exclusive parts pack and a black, double-bubble screen.
This extra-special GSX-R600 has an RRP of just £7,199 and only 150 units
will be available.
