I am creating an IT TT hybrid from a 1983 IT250 and 1980 tt250, the TT 4 stroke motor going into the IT frame. So far the project is going well. Some more frame mode to finish and painting. Looking forward to getting out on the trail. How do you post pictures in here?

To post pictures you'll have to create an account and login then you can go to the upload page and upload pictures (after logging in of course). Uploading the file should be straight forward, once it's uploaded you'll be at an image page like this one Image:1964-Triumph-Bonneville-T120-Blue-1045-0.jpg. On the image page look for the table cell that says "Wiki Code" and copy and paste that into the page you want to add the image to (the last part of that code inside the ]]'s is the description so edit it to whatever is most descriptive. Once you get this far, if you need any help with resizing or anything I'll be glad to help.--Budlight 10:21, 13 January 2007 (EST)

OK, I'm new to this stuff. Created my id and pw and uploaded 2 pics of the project bike. All I want to do is put it out there so you can see a description and the pictures but I don't seem to be able to get what I want. Help doing that appreciated.

Hey check out User_talk:Ronbuell, I agree the wiki coding for adding images is confusing at first. Once you get used to it, its not that bad, and ends up being pretty flexible. if you want to make the images bigger you can simply add |200px| anywhere in the middle of those image codes on that page (not the beginning or end) and increase 200 to whatever value works best. I added those descriptions as that is what you had on the image summary. Feel free to ask for more help, and I wouldn't mind your impressions of what exactly is difficult, so that maybe I could improve it. I've already lost the valuable impressions and suggestions that one can make upon first use of something.--Budlight 20:05, 13 January 2007 (EST)
Hey Bud, I just loaded 2 more pics of the finished project bike and want to get them into my site AND make it so others can see it when viewing Yamaha ITs or TT on this site. Can you make that happen or tell me how to do that. Thanks, Ron
Hey I just added them to User:Ronbuell (along with moving your other pics there, I labeled where you can type a description as "Description here"). I also linked your user page from Yamaha TT250 (new page), and Yamaha IT250, for both it will be under See Also. When you upload an image it takes you to a page such as Image:IMG 1689.JPG. You can see below the image it has a table labeled Wiki Code you can copy and paste (I'll explain that next just incase) it to any page to simply get it on the page. Copying and pasting is a feature that most all modern computers support, it gives you a invisible clipboard, on which you can store data to be moved elsewhere. To copy you highlight the text you want (in our case the Wiki Code field, which should select all the field when you left click it once, if not highlight the whole field (turns blue) with your mouse) and hold down the control button on your keyboard, then press 'C', it should now be on your clipboard, to put this text else where you will hold down the control button, and then press 'V'. This is probably one of the most useful things you can learn on a computer. I'm not trying to insult you if you already knew all this, just making sure I have all bases are covered. Hopefully this helps you out.--Budlight 09:42, 28 January 2007 (EST)

Thanks Bud, that put it out there for others to see, thanks. Yes, I'm aware of and use the cut/copy/paste feature and that is nice. What is confusing is that it is not intuitive how you get it out there in the public area to view, or how you go between the 2 areas. It just seems like there is a private area to put it together, and then you have to do something to make it go public. I'm missing that connection. I was able to edit what you put out there and add some descriptions to the 2 new pics, which was what I wanted, and you got it out there so others could see it. Thanks for the help, Ron
