I would like to know what the original color of the rear exhaust for a '''1985 Yamaha XV1000 Virago'''; was it an exhaust mat black or a chromed color or was it chromed. It would appear to me that it would have been an exhaust color as it does come under the center stand and then out to the silencers. Any correction would be appreciated?

-Hey Depends on if it was a midnight special or not.  The Midnight special should have had black exhausts (maybe matte).  The regular likely had a chrome exhaust.  This all really depends on what country the bike was exported to and the year and maybe even the color.  But there do seem to have been factory versions that are both ways.
