The front suspension was a  WP 43 mm upside down forks, adjustable rebound and compression damping, 220 mm travel. while the rear was equipped with a WP monoshock with remote oil reservoir, hydraulically adjustable preload, rebound damping adjustment, 215 mm rear wheel travel. The TIGER 800 XC was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 60.79 inches (1544 mm) long.

Reintroduced for the 2016 model year, the Tiger 800 XC is almost the same with the 2015 model, but with a few changes and improvements. WP replaces the Showa suspension from 2014 and new for 2016, the XC has redesigned cowls to deflect hot air from the radiator away from the rider.
