The Triumph Thruxton was a twin, four-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by Triumph between 2004 and 2016. Max torque was 50.89 ft/lbs (69.0 Nm) @ 5800 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 67.59 HP (50.4 KW) @ 7400 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 90.0mm bore x 90.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 865.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet. multi-plate.

Chassis

It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 130/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. nissin 2-piston floating caliper in the front and a single disc. nissin 2-piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a kayaba 41mm forks with adjustable preload. while the rear was equipped with a kayaba chromed spring twin shocks with adjustable preload.. The Thruxton was fitted with a 4.23 Gallon (16.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 471.79 pounds (214.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.66 inches (1490 mm) long.

When this two-wheeler was designed, Hinckley took into consideration two things, classic looks combined with modern technology cleverly hidden in plain sight in a retro guise.

Keeping to to the 60's cafe racer theme, the bike is a minimalist one, with what appears to be a solo seat. However, under the rear seat cowl, which can be effortlessly removed, one can find plenty of room for a passenger.
