The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse three cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder..

Power was moderated via the Wet, multi-plate.  

==Chassis==
It came with a 100/90-19 front [[tire]] and a 150/70 R17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 308 mm Floating discs, Nissin 2-piston sliding caliper, ABS available in the front and a Single 255 mm disc, Nissin single-piston sliding caliper, ABS available in the rear. The front suspension was a  Showa 43mm upside down forks while the rear was equipped with a Showa monoshock with hydraulically adjustable preload. The Tiger 800XRT was fitted with a 19 Liters / 5.0 US gal / 4.2 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 190 kg / 419 lbs. The wheelbase was 1545 mm / 60.8 in long.

== Overview ==
Triumph Tiger 800 XRT











Triumph Tiger 800 gains more versatility
Whether your adventures include tackling mile after mile of twists and turns, or
taking in terrain of the rougher variety and leaving the tarmac behind, the new
Triumph Tiger 800 XCA and XRT add increased versatility to the Triumph Tiger 800
stable of models.

Both models share the latest evolution of Triumphs torquey 95PS
800cc triple engine, featuring enhanced fuel efficiency (up to 17% on the new
combined cycle) and delivering up to 430km of riding on a single tank.

The improved engine sits in a revised chassis and is coupled
to a suite of rider-focused technologies including ride-by-wire throttle, for
improved response and rideability, three switchable riding modes and switchable
ABS and traction control as standard.


The XRT and XCA add heated rider and passenger seats,
heated grips and LED fog lights along with a larger 650W alternator to power
these upgrades or to power GPS navigation systems and charge cellphones. Both
new variants also come ready with pannier rails, though curiously the Expedition
hard luggage set designed for the Tiger line are still sold separately.
Like the XR and XRx, the Tiger 800 XRT is equipped with
cast aluminum wheels, a 19-incher at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear.
The XRT also gets the XRxs upgrades including the advanced trip meter, cruise
control, adjustable screen and hand guards.
The XCA likewise gets the features of the XC and XCx
including an ADV-style beak, wire-spoked wheels, with an off-road oriented
21-inch wheel up front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear, and WP suspension with
longer travel than the XR models Showa suspension. The XCA also gets CNC
machined footpegs and three auxiliary sockets.
As with the previously-announced variants, the XRT and XCA
come standard with ABS, traction control and a (claimed) 17% improvement to fuel
economy over the 2014 Tiger 800 models.
