Do you mind if I add that the 1971 version of the G31-M had a cotton-like filter opposite of the carb on the carb cover which helped with air intake but had to be changed often killing it as a great motorcross bike. Chuck: Noles1984 17:55, 21 February 2008 (CST)
Added that the 1971 version of the G31-M also had a cotton-like filter opposite of the carb on the carb cover which helped with air intake. I also edited that the rotary disc valve on the Centurion was steel as opposed to pressed fiber. Ben, go HERE for what I added Noles1984 10:02, 26 February 2008 (CST)

How do you make a photo display in the wiki?  I just completed a stub "Owning and riding an Early KZ-1000P Police Motorcycle" and although I can include a clickable link that works, I can't get the photos to display.  It would appear that the photos are hosted on the Cycle Chaos server-not off site?

Thanks.

John.

*also note that we use some custom formatting code on other pages to format them.  just click edit on a page to see how its done.  It can be very confusing at first.--Budlight 21:58, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

is the yamaha RD60 for sale

Correction. The picture of the alleged C200 with the OHC engine and the high pipe, stamped steel body, and Super-90 style tank is actually of a Honda Sport 65.

Budlight,
I just want to share that my first 'real bike' was an almost brand new '72 (I thought it was a '71) S2.  Boy was I proud of that wild ride!  It had the most beautiful candy red that looked as if it was a foot deep in the sun.  It ate sparkplugs from the excessively rich oil injection setting (actually had a recall to change the oil injection pump).  I couldn't go down a street without laying smoke like a mosquito fogger, even after the 'improved oil pump calibration'.  This bike was small for sure, but it also was the only bike that I spilled.  It had a horrible torque curve that came on like a wild horse on steroids at around 4 grand if I recall, and if I wasn't careful, whoops the front end would go light and wheel-stand if I wasn't careful.  Well, it did just that in 1st gear when turning on a city street.  I was young and inexperienced, but the pain & embarassment of having to push my damaged shiny new bike back to my apartment building with a torn shirt and bleeding elbow, was a lesson that taught me to respect all of my future bikes and perhaps guided my some 100,000 accident free bike miles since.  I guess that what I wanted to share was that by 1975 and as the paint faded from the candy apple red to expose the orange beneath, I lost interest in the small bike and sold it for peanuts.  If only I had it now.......

Bud I have a 1976 cb750a with 9500 miles. It is the green color of that year. Would you like a picture of it to add to the 1976 page ? It is truly as new, with a Vetter fairing. j-g-k@q.com

BMW R26
Hi Budlight.  I purchased a used police BMW R26 in Munich many years ago - it was green - and I have been looking for a pic with that color - and just found one on this site.  I have pics from that time, but they are old and do not show the color - looks more black.  Jut wanted to say hello!

Joe

ps.  I purchased a 64 R27 last summer and started to ride again.

G'day, Ben! I was wondering if I could become one of the admins here. DetectiveDove (talk) 20:46, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
:What are you hoping to do that you can't just edit as a regular user?  I think it seems a bit bold to ask to be an admin on the same day you joined. --Budlight (talk) 21:45, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
