The Velocette LE MK III was a Four-stroke, flat twin, water-cooled Classic motorcycle produced by Velocette in 1958. Claimed horsepower was 8.05 HP (6.0 KW) @ 5000 RPM.

A 50.8mm bore x 50.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 192.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 4-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Dry, three-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.25 x 18" front tire and a 3.25 x 18" rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Dual coil springs and spring loaded seat. The LE MK III was fitted with a 0.53 Gallon (2.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 51.18 inches (1300 mm) long.
1958 - 1971 Velocette LE MK III[edit | edit source]
In 1958, Velocette launched the Mk III LE with a foot operated gear change and a conventional kick start. An extra gear was added, together with 18-inch-diameter (460 mm) wheels. The instrumentation was relocated to the head lamp, and the petrol capacity was increased from a meagre 1.25 to 1.62 imperial gallons (5.7 to 7.4 l; 1.50 to 1.95 US gal).
