Most manufacturers had a go at making a scooter in the late fifties, & this was the attempt by the mighty Velocette company. Predictions of sales of 5,000 models in 1962 actually resulted in 300 in total being made by the time it was discontinued.

The Velocette Viceroy was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Velocette between 1960 and 1964.

Power was moderated via the duplex.

Chassis

Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic while the rear was equipped with a swingarm. The bike weighed just 308.65 pounds (140.0 Kg).
