The Yamaha DT250MX was a single cylinder, two-stroke Trail motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1972 and 1982. It could reach a top speed of 68 mph (109 km/h). Max torque was 12.91 ft/lbs (17.5 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 15.69 HP (11.7 KW) @ 5400 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 70.0mm bore x 64.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 246.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a membrane.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 4.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The DT250MX was fitted with a 2.38 Gallon (9.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 244.93 pounds (111.1 Kg).
