The newly-introduced 2009 MY FZ6R is the quintessentiale generic sportsbike. Engineered to deliver pure, unadulterated street joy and still boast all-round convenience and useability, the FZ6R packs a low seat height for a reassuring feel even for shorter riders, a slim comoact chassis which makes flipping the bite through turns fun and easy and a fuel injected engine with a linear, predictable throttle feel.

Add in the sleek fairing and the overall fun-focused tuning for the 2009 MY FZ6R and you'll see why so many riders were thrilled to get their hands on this machine.

The 2010 MY FZ6R is a great addition to Yamaha's roster, as it introduces sport performance in a package which incorporates exceptional everyday usability and road worthiness for longer hauls. The sporty 600cc engine is tuned for low-revs performance, making this bike exceedingly fun way below the redline. The semi-naked design provides decent weather protection and is a great match for the better ergonomics and the all-rounder character of the machine.

Nevertheless a sport bike, the 2010 MY FZ6R boasts premium maneuverability and lots of fun in any riding scenario.

Ever dreamed about a bike as nimble and brawny as the widely-acclaimed R6, but delivered in a more street-worthy packaging, with a more obvious urban brawler character? In case you did, prepare to meet the 2011 MY FZ6R, a more comfortable, semi-naked version of the ZR6, but sharing much of its nerve in a trim which has been tweaked for more user-friendly fun and urban useability.

A pure sport bike, the 2011 MY FZ6R blends all-day comfort and canyon carving sharpness in a package that looks as well as it rides. Two-up comfort was also improved, and the transmission was re-geared to add more fluency to shifting in all scenarios.

The 2012 MY Yamaha FZ6R is a sporty two-wheeler which brings together the nimble character of a street bike and enough power to make it truly thrilling. Suitable as a bike for beginning riders as well, the 2011 Yamaha FZ6R has more than enough punch to be rather hard to outgrow as years pass by and experience accumulates. This bike is a great choice for a daily ride as it comes with a lower seat and an upright driving position, while the handlebars are reaching back to the rider for increased comfort.

Mixing together elements derived from the R6 supersport machine and revised for a more tamed nature to add more daily rideability. The 2012 MY FZ6R comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and can also be used on the track for more intense sensations.

The FZ6R is a great combination of performance, handling, and exciting sport bike style, but also with a low seat height that’s both adjustable to fit a wider variety of riders and also narrower where it counts to make it even easier to put both feet on the ground.

The fuel-injected engine in the 2013 FZ6R has been designed to meet the demands of today’s motorcyclist. This engine optimizes the entire flow from the intake of the fuel-air mixture to combustion and exhaust. Even though it shares both bore and stroke dimensions with the FZ6, the cylinder head, crankcase, intake and exhaust system, as well as the clutch and shifter, were completely redesigned for the FZ6R, creating a power unit with an entirely different character.

A rider in the market for a practical 600cc bike doesn’t have to compromise performance or style to get value. The FZ6R is a great combination of performance, handling, and exciting sport bike style, but also with a low seat height that’s both adjustable to fit a wider variety of riders and also narrower where it counts to make it even easier to put both feet on the ground.
