Drive
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multiplate.
Chassis
It came with a 120/70ZR17 front tire and a 160/60ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual hydraulic disc 298 in the front and a Single hydraulic disc 245mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork, 5.1-in. travel while the rear was equipped with a Single shock, 5.1-in travel. The wheelbase was 56.69 inches (1440 mm) long.

2010 Yamaha FZ-6R
The 2010 MY FZ6R is a great addition to Yamaha's roster, as it introduces sport performance in a package which incorporates exceptional everyday usability and road worthiness for longer hauls. The sporty 600cc engine is tuned for low-revs performance, making this bike exceedingly fun way below the redline. The semi-naked design provides decent weather protection and is a great match for the better ergonomics and the all-rounder character of the machine.

The fuel-injected engine in the 2013 FZ6R has been designed to meet the demands of today’s motorcyclist. This engine optimizes the entire flow from the intake of the fuel-air mixture to combustion and exhaust. Even though it shares both bore and stroke dimensions with the FZ6, the cylinder head, crankcase, intake and exhaust system, as well as the clutch and shifter, were completely redesigned for the FZ6R, creating a power unit with an entirely different character.
