The Yamaha FZ 600 was an Air Cooled, Four Stroke, Transverse Four Cylinder, DOHC, 4 Valves Per Cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1986. Max torque was 31.72 ft/lbs (43.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 54.58 HP (40.7 KW) @ 9400 RPM.

A 58.4mm bore x 58.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 599.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/90-16 front tire and a 120/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x269mm Discs in the front and a Single 240mm Disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 36mm Kayaba Forks Air Pressure while the rear was equipped with a Showa Single Shock.

The FZ 600 thanks to its 400 heritage, is a small motorcycle, with a wheelbase that is almost two inches shorter than FJ 600.
