It came with a 3.25-19 front [[tire]] and a 4.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a  Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks.

The GX 750, introduced in 1976, got a 3 into 2 muffler and 67HP, while its GX 750 brother had only 60 HP.  This model adopted unique Yamaha technologies in features like its compact, laterally-aligned DOHC 3-cylinder engine and a maintenance-free shaft drive. The next year the GX750II was introduced with a 3 into 2 muffler and a big boost in power up to 67 hp.
