The Yamaha IT200 is a motorcycle produced by Yamaha from 1984 to 1986. It was a 200cc, single cylinder, two stroke, reed valve, motocross motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha. Max torque was 18.44 ft/lbs (25.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 6.03 HP (4.5 KW) @ 9500 RPM.


Engine

A 66.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 195.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.

Chassis

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 120/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Kayaba forks while the rear was equipped with a Monoshock.

1984 announced the end of production of the IT 125, the IT 175 and the reduction in production of the IT 490 and the IT250, it also brought with it the arrival of another Enduro legend, the IT 200L – a compact, light, well balanced and powerful machine.
