The Yamaha MT-01 was a v2, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 2005 and 2012. Max torque was 110.86 ft/lbs (150.3 Nm) @ 3750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 88.11 HP (65.7 KW) @ 4750 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 97.0mm bore x 113.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1670.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet, multiple-disc.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 190/50-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a swing arm (link suspension). The MT-01 was fitted with a 3.96 Gallon (15.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 542.34 pounds (246.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 60.04 inches (1525 mm) long.
2005 Yamaha MT-01[edit | edit source]
The 2004 MT-01 can be named the true brother of the amazing V-Max beast. Sharing its big-displacement engine but in a v-twin guise, the MT-01 is a bike in a class of its own, setting new standards for the power cruiser segment. With the peak torque already available at 3,750 rpm, there's no telling how mean this bike can become at the slightest twist of the throttle.
With the most advanced technologies used in the making of the MT-01, it's small wonder that the bike looks as good as it rides. Light, with a centralized mass and exceedingly nimble, this bike is the perfect fun machine for the experienced thrill-seeking rider.

A true road-scorcher, this power cruiser delivers mind-boggling torque at 3,750, making passing others a breeze in almost any scenario.
The chassis is derived form that of the R1 and shares several technologies, especially in the suspension area. A beastly machine for highly-experienced riders, the 2005 MT-01 is definitely not a toy. And the 150Nm torque should be enough to make things clear as daylight.
